Videographer and Photographer | Weddings, Corporate, Families
Hello and welcome, my name is Colin Browne. I'm a videographer and photographer based in Hillcrest, Durban, KZN. Since 2000 I've been involved in hundreds of corporate and advertising shoots for clients all over the world. I've had everyone in front of my lens from world leaders to factory labourers.
My extensive background in wedding and portrait photography has given me a wealth of valuable experience in lighting, composition and editing. I can shoot with any style and in almost any location. My photography travels have taken me throughout South Africa, Mauritius, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
I've shot over 300 weddings at venues across South Africa, from sprawling weddings of over 1500 people to intimate elopements.
From engagement shoots on the beach at sunrise through to proposals at the park, I've captured it all through my lens.
I've photographed hundreds of families and couples on location at the beach and in the countryside.
Photography and video for brands and companies including marketing photos, headshots, explainer videos, social media content and more.
I've been the official photographer at corporate events ranging from thousands of people at the Durban ICC to small boardroom meetings.
I do photography and videos for hotels, lodges, B&B's, real estate, conference and wedding venues all over KZN.
Over 300 Weddings and Counting | KZN Midlands, Hillcrest, Durban, Umhlanga, Ballito
When I started doing wedding photography I never could have imagined that it was going to take off as much as it did. It's over a decade later and I'm still going strong. Weddings have taken me throughout South Africa, having shot at stunning venues like Babylonstoren in the Western Cape, Memoire in Gauteng as well as hundreds of venues throughout Kwazulu-Natal.
I've been privileged to get a glimpse into so many peoples lives and see them at their happiest and most vulnerable. Witnessing and capturing priceless moments never gets old, and many years of experience has conditioned me to anticipate all those priceless moments in advance.
I loved shooting this wedding. Liaan, Marika and their families are all absolutely wonderful people. Marika was one of the happiest brides I’ve ever seen, she just couldn’t stop smiling. They really wanted a beach wedding, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. The rain was coming and going the whole day, and of course during…Read More
Lloyd and Nyree’s wedding was the last ever wedding that is going to be held at Pecanwood in the KZN Midlands, which kind of gave me a sense of nostalgia throughout the day especially since it was one of the first venues in the area and a stunning one at that. The ceremony was held…Read More
Byron and Meagan were a crazy, young and fun couple to work with. They were game for anything, and by the end of the shoot they were swimming in the sea in their smart clothes. Byron used to be a presenter on YoTV growing up, now he has his own show called Travelling Unplugged. Now that…Read More
Al & Merilyn came out from Australia with their two best friends to have an intimate safari wedding. They couldn’t have hoped for anything better. The weather was perfect, the light was amazing and 4 rhino came to drink at the dam across from where they were about to exchange their vows. Merilyn is the sort…Read More
Ed and Dana’s wedding was a party of note. It was wet, muddy and raining the whole day but they didn’t let that bother them at all. All the decor was made by Dana with the help of friends and family, and it had a real African DIY theme to it. Dana is from the…Read More
It’s always a pleasure taking a spin to the Oyster Box Hotel no matter what I’m shooting, this time it was a small launch event and product showcase jointly hosted by HP and Microsoft. I must say, as a Mac user even I was intrigued to see the tablets with the swivelling keyboard!Read More
