Videographer and Photographer | Brands, Companies and Individuals
Hello and welcome, my name is Colin Browne. I'm a videographer and photographer based in Hillcrest, Durban, KZN. Since 2000 I've been involved in hundreds of weddings, events, corporate and advertising shoots for clients all over the world. I've had everyone in front of my lens from world leaders to factory labourers.
Before I was a photographer I worked as a graphic designer at an advertising agency. I created printed and digital content for both local and international brands, and have recently completed a stint as a freelance designer for Barrows Global (UK) where I worked on brands such as Budweiser and Essity. Back home in South Africa I developed an intranet portal for Massmart and designed websites for many small to medium sizes businesses.
A particular interest of mine is motion design and animation, which I often use for social media advertising and websites.
Photography and video for brands and companies including marketing photos, headshots, explainer videos, social media content and more.
I've been the official photographer at corporate events ranging from thousands of people at the Durban ICC to small boardroom meetings.
I do photography and videos for hotels, lodges, B&B's, real estate, conference and wedding venues all over KZN.
I've photographed hundreds of families and couples on location at the beach and in the countryside.
From engagement shoots on the beach at sunrise through to proposals at the park, I've captured it all through my lens.
I've shot over 300 weddings at venues across South Africa, from sprawling weddings of over 1500 people to intimate elopements.
Over 300 Weddings and Counting | KZN Midlands, Hillcrest, Durban, Ballito
When I started doing wedding photography I never could have imagined that it was going to take off as much as it did. It's over a decade later and I'm still going strong. Weddings have taken me throughout South Africa, having shot at stunning venues like Babylonstoren in the Western Cape, Memoire in Gauteng as well as hundreds of venues throughout Kwazulu-Natal.
I've been privileged to get a glimpse into so many peoples lives and see them at their happiest and most vulnerable. Witnessing and capturing priceless moments never gets old, and many years of experience has conditioned me to anticipate all those priceless moments in advance.
I was booked to shoot both photos and video at Ricardo & Shanice’s wedding, my lovely talented wife Ruth did most of the video camera work. It was a pleasure working with Tamsyn from Designer Decor, it was soon after I shot her own wedding up the road at Camp Orchards. Shanice looked lovely on…Read More
One of the wedding venues that I shoot at very often is Collisheen in Ballito, I’ve built up a good working relationship with the wedding co-ordinators so when they needed some photos for their website I was honoured that they chose me to do them, considering they have different photographers there every weekend shooting weddings. They…Read More
The well known UK clothing brand Ted Baker have opened a store in Gateway, they hired me to do photos of the interiors. They asked for not too many product shots, instead more of the décor and feel of the store. I think I managed it to fulfil that brief. The following day after I…Read More
It was wonderful to be asked by Lexy to do her 2019 catalogue shoot, I did a previous shoot for her a few years ago which went well but I hadn’t heard from her since. When the call came through I suggested a few different locations but in the end she said she preferred our…Read More
I did headshots for a company called Kaomi Marketing, they do digital marketing. I was contracted to develop a few websites for them, and when they heard I do photography too they asked me to do the photos for their new website. They asked for natural light shots with wide open aperture for blurred backgrounds.Read More
My second shoot in New Zealand was for the stunning Watson family, we did it early before work on Campbells Bay beach on the Auckland north shore.
